Day one - Arrival
When arriving at Leifur Eiriksson Keflavik airport, you will board the non-guided schedule bus (Flybus) for a transfer to Reykjavik City and check in at your hotel.
In the evening you will be greeted at the hotel bar with a cocktail and the feast begins.
At the Gallery Restaurant a four-course dinner created by award-winning chef Fridgeir Ingason will be presented with an exceptional choice of wine to accommodate the meal.
Day two: Golden Circle Tour
After breakfast you will be picked up at your hotel and whisked to the Geysir area where you will see the hot spring Strokkur shoot a column of water up to 30 meters (98 ft.) into the air.
From there we also visit the magnificent Gullfoss waterfall.
Our tour also includes the historical and geological wonder that
is Thingvellir National Park, where the American and Eurasian tectonic plates are pulling apart at a rate of a few centimeters per year.
Additionally we visit the idyllic Fridheimar greenhouse cultivation centre, where we learn about the magic behind growing delicious, pesticide-free tomatoes and cucumbers with the aid of the geothermal heat that Iceland has in abundance.
Once back from the natural wonders and following a relaxation at Hotel Holt the next feast will start.
At The Fishmarket Hrefna Sætran (member of Iceland Culinary Team) and her team will prepare an exciting Tasting Menu consisting of several dishes that are designed for sharing and are brought to the table regularly throughout the meal.
With this excellent menu a selection of wines are poured in your glasses respecting the flavor of the menu.
Day Three - Relaxation at the Blue Lagoon
After breakfast you will be picked up by a non-guided coach to take you to the extraordinary Blue Lagoon.
The Lagoon is a unique geother- mal spa situated in the youngest lava field in West Iceland. Relax in a geothermal steam bath or have a Blue Lagoon waterfall massage your shoulders.
When you have enjoyed the Lagoon you will be returned to your hotel. For the remainder of the day you can enjoy the dazzling city center and its many excellent coffee houses, museums and more.
In the evening you will go to Rub23 Restaurant where Einar Geirsson (long-time member of the national culinary team) and his team will produce a 5-course Icelandic fusion menu for you to enjoy.
A perfect selection of wines has been chosen to accompany the menu.
Day Four - On your own
Why not relax and sleep in this morning or take one of the many fantastic excursions that are offered from Reykjavik.
You can also go to one of our shop- ping malls or walk down Laugavegur to see all the Icelandic designer boutiques.
In the evening a table has been reserved at Grillmarkadurinn where Hrefna Sætran and her team have prepared an exciting Tasting Menu. This is an eight-course chef’s menu for the whole table to share.
The Tasting Menu is the specialty of Grillmarkadurinn and it’s the best way to enjoy our complex and creative menu.
We guarantee you and your group a truly unique experience. With this excellent menu a selection of wines are poured in your glasses respecting the flavour of the menu.
Day Five - Departure
Depending on your flight we will ar- range for you to be picked up at your hotel for your departure home by Flybus.
